Prominent Names in
Organizational Communication
Dr. W. Charles Redding
(1914-1994). A renowned communication scholar known as the father of
modern organizational communication, he was a professor at Perdue University.
He is the author of several books including Communication Within the
Organization, How to Conduct a Readership Survey, and
The Corporate Manager's Guide to Better Communication.
A prestigious award in his memory is given by the International
Communication Association (ICA), the W. Charles Redding Dissertation Award in
Organizational Communication.
Dr. Sue DeWine (http://www.hanover.edu/abouthanover/facts/inaug/dewinebio),
currently president of Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana, has been a
communication consultant and fund raiser. She was a professor of
organizational communication and leadership at Ohio State University from
1985-2000, and is also a co-author of several books including Organizational
Communication: Foundations, Challenges, and Misunderstandings, The
Consultant's Craft, and Exploring Human Communication.

is known for his research and books on organizational communication analysis.
He is best known for his work on communication audits and on communication
